Bring the oldest child is an important role in a family. Your birth order can affect a child development .Parents tend to expect their oldest child more responsible. I agree with the author’s idea “An important part of his identity is his family position. In the article “How Your Birth Order Influences Your Life Adjustments” by Lucille talk about how the position that you was in can affect your identity. Family position helps you find your identity. Family is a like a chain of command .You have the father the head of the house then the mother. Follow by the oldest child. All together create a family a group that’s related. The younger sibling is always going to think about himself as the baby. He knows doesn’t have big responsibilities. The youngest is always going to have help. Then come the middle child who’s more independent then the youngest .In my opinion the middle child is the brains.Dont relied on others siblings only if they’re really need help. The oldest think about himself as a leader. Parents tend to put a lot of responsibilities on the on oldest child. The oldest must know how to take care of the younger sibling . when the parents are not around they have to look out and make right decisions. Growing up as the oldest my parents put a lot of responsibilities on me.I would pick up my younger sibling for school. Protect them from harm. In the show fresh prince they have the oldest kartin the oldest that seen himself smart and independend. He take charge when his parents not around .Ashley the youngest still acts like a baby and feel she don’t have to do much. The middle child in the show is a little bit of both she vary layed back but can do a lot on her on. I was reading a article a few weeks ago from time saying that the youngest family member have ten percent more chance of failing in life then the oldest. They say that’s because the youngest tend to grow up with that nature of depending on some else for help. They so use to being the youngest that they have a hard time of letting go. I think your birth order does affect your life adjustment. If I wasn’t the oldest I believe I wouldn’t be as independent as I am today. Your birth order is apart of your character.Knowing who you are is a be part of your identity.Family position help you find your identity.
